The goal of the Development Program is always to:

The participation of parents, grandparents, friends and donors is an important component in maintaining that quality and affordability. All donations are tax-deductible since Lutheran High is a recognized 501 (c) (3) organization. Donations are also available for matching fund through Thrivent Financial for Lutherans and some employees.


Specific programs include

 

LHS Scholarship Endowment

The endowment established in 1999 has presently grown to over $270,000. The interest and dividends from the endowment are used to provide tuition assistance to needy families. The earnings of $5,400 this past year provided financial help for three different families at LHS allowing those students the opportunity of a Lutheran High School nurturing. The principal of the endowment remains and continues to grow helping to ensure affordable Christian secondary education for future families. Donations and bequests to the endowment are accepted at any time.

Grand Century Club

This is our annual giving club with hundreds of members donating from $100 to several thousand dollars a year to support the ministry of Lutheran High. The money is used to offset the difference between the tuition and the actual cost of education.

The 22nd annual auction is March 26, 2011 at the St. Charles Convention Center.

Lutheran Golf Tournament

This event is sponsored jointly with Lutheran Senior Services and will be held July 19, 2010 at Whitmoor Country Club. The four person scramble provides a great afternoon of fellowship and fun for the golf enthusiast. Contact the school to find out how you can be a Special Sponsor, a Platinum Sponsor, a Hole Sponsor, or just play in the tournament.

Jogathon

This activity is held each spring and gives students the opportunity to raise additional funds to enhance the extracurricular programs of music, athletics and drama at Lutheran High.

 

Building Program

We recently completed the athletic complex with additional locker rooms, a new expanded weight room, additional practice fields, a lighted football stadium, additional school parking, and an all-weather synthetic eight-lane track. This was funded in large extent through donations and a two-year campaign entitled “Finish the Course”. It is not too late for you to be involved in the program, if providing excellent facilities for ministry is your passion. Contact the school to find out how you can be involved.

All donations of $600 or more to “Finish the Course” are entitled to a commemorative brick tile which will be incorporated into the press box of the new stadium. This is an ongoing program to which you can donate at any time. Click “Brick Tile Order Form” to download information.

“Special Gifts” List

This is a list of items that would enrich the total educational program at Lutheran High.  Items vary in value from $100 to several thousand dollars but donors can select the particular item they would like to donate to the school.
